Danilo deal ‘complete’
Algemeen Dagblad: Feyenoord striker Danilo has reportedly ‘completed’ his transfer to Rangers.
Dutch outlet AD further reports that Feyenoord accepted a fee in excess of €6m (£5.1m) from the Light Blues earlier this week and the Brazilian forward is close to reaching an agreement on personal terms.
The 24-year-old is expected to sign a contract running through to 2028 and is due to fly to Glasgow in the coming days to undergo a medical.
Danilo enjoyed a fruitful campaign last term, netting 10 league goals despite only starting 14 games, helping his side win the Eredivisie title for the first time since 2017.
Feyenoord, who have stood firm in their valuation, are set to make a significant profit upon completion of the sale, having signed Danilo on a free transfer in 2022 from Ajax.
He will become Beale’s eighth signing this summer, but it seems he won’t be the last…
Beale confirms Cifuentes transfer close
Sky Sports: Rangers have secured a pre-contract agreement to sign Los Angeles FC midfielder José Cifuentes.
Beale confirmed a deal to sign the 16-cap Ecuador international is edging closer, but there still remain details to finalise before completion.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the 42-year-old said: “It is getting closer. There are logistics with that one and work permits and everything else that goes in between it. The clubs are still talking. He’s out of contract at the end of the year and we have an agreement for that.”
Cifuentes has made 19 appearances in MLS this season, scoring one goal whilst laying on four assists from central midfield.
Since completing a €2.73m (£2.3m) move to LAFC from C.D. Universidad Católica del Ecuador in January 2020, the 24-year-old has appeared 99 times in MLS, netting on 14 occasions and providing 17 assists.

Rangers open to Hagi offers
Football Insider: Serie A side Lecce are working on a deal to sign Rangers attacking midfielder Ianis Hagi.
Rangers are willing to sell the 24-year-old this summer to help boost their transfer budget, and Lecce consider the Romania international a ‘concrete target’.
Despite being limited to just four league appearances last season due to injury, Hagi penned a new contract in December, extending his stay at Ibrox until 2026.
Less than eight months on, the Gers appear to have had a change of heart and believe a sale could be beneficial to help land other targets.
Hagi joined Rangers three years ago in a reported £3m move from Genk and has made 96 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals whilst laying on 21 assists.
Saudi side to move for Wright
Football Insider: Al-Ettifaq have made a concrete move to sign Rangers winger Scott Wright.
Former Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has recently been appointed as the Saudi club’s new head coach and is keen to reunite with the 25-year-old.
Wright was limited to just five league starts last term and is seeking more regular game time.
He joined the Light Blues in 2021 for a reported fee worth £200,000.
