Mounties have charged a 31-year-old Beaumont man with multiple child porn offences after a month-long investigation dating back to December.
With the assistance of the Alberta Integrated Child Exploitation (ICE) team, Beaumont RCMP officers were advised of an unknown individual who was suspected of uploading child pornography to the internet, police said in a Thursday news release.

On Wednesday, police executed a search warrant at a Beaumont home where officers seized a number of electronic devices including a personal computer and cellular phone.
As a result of the investigation, Dylan Thomas, 31, is charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and transmitting and distributing child pornography.
Thomas has since been released from custody, and is set to appear in Leduc court on Feb. 8.
Beaumont is approximately 26 kilometres south of Edmonton.
