The federal government has invited wrestlers protesting in opposition to Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh for talks on their points, days after they met House Minister Amit Shah.
In a tweet post-midnight Tuesday, Sports activities Minister Anurag Thakur mentioned the federal government was “prepared to have a dialogue with the wrestlers on their points”.
“I’ve as soon as once more invited the wrestlers for a similar,” he mentioned.
The wrestlers have been agitating in opposition to Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, a BJP MP, and demanded his arrest. Some girls wrestlers have accused him of sexually harassing them, expenses he has denied.
Earlier, the Delhi Police recorded the statements of Mr. Singh’s associates and people working at his residence in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda as a part of the investigation, officers mentioned.
