Recently, the Fang Cheng Bao brand under BYD has officially unveiled its logo. And now, the first Fang Cheng Bao store was seen in China with a new signature logo on it. It means that the official launch of Fang Cheng Bao with its first car, the Leopard 5 (Bao 5) is getting closer day by day.

First, let’s briefly talk about the Fang Cheng Bao logo. Since the name of this brand translates as “Formula Leopard”, it is obvious that the logo was inspired by some math formulas and such stuff. For an example, it is based on a double line graph. In the middle of the logo, there is a Möbius strip. This is the “formula” side of this logo. But you should also keep in mind its connection to “Leopard”.
According to Fang Cheng Bao, its logo also represents the “Leopard Power”. What is even more funny is that Fang Cheng Bao specified some Leopard’s attributes they have adopted. They are impact force, power, safety, rapid, personality and aesthetics. So, we can imagine the power of a leopard or the aesthetics of one. But how about the personality of a leopard, or safety? At last, the edges of the logo look like arrows’ spearheads.
So, the Fang Cheng Bao logo is pretty strange. On the other hand, it is quite recognizable and has its own meaning.

But we have gathered here not only because of the Fang Cheng Bao logo. The first Fang Cheng Bao store has officially got the signboard with the brand’s logo on it. Judging by the pictures, it was a solemn event. As for the store itself, it looks pretty simple and clean. On the other hand, it also has a wall, colored in Fang Cheng Bao’s signature colors. Above it, we can notice the logo itself, which is pretty big.
Moreover, the BYD logo can be seen nowhere. So, Fang Cheng Bao clearly positions itself as a standalone brand. Without a visible bond with BYD, there is a risk that most of car enthusiasts won’t be able to recognize the connection between these brands. As a consequence, it can influence the Fang Cheng Bao’s sales number.
As far as we can see now, the Fang Cheng Bao store is empty. There are no cars in it at the moment. They will probably hit the stores after the official launch that is scheduled for August.

As for the first car of the Fang Cheng Bao brand, it will be the Leopard 5 (Bao 5) PHEV SUV. It is a mid-size SUV with a brawny look that stands on the DM-o hybrid platform. According to different sources, its power output will reach 500 kW (544 hp). The Leopard 5 will speed up from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds. It has a mixed range of 1200 km (CLTC). It also has the DiSus-P suspension on board.
