Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu arrived in St. Kitts over the year to participate in the Caribbean island country’s Independence Day festivities on Tuesday. St. Kitts is one of only 13 countries that still maintain diplomatic ties with Taiwan. So far, Beijing has not commented on Wu’s trip as it commonly does when senior Taiwan officials travel abroad.
