West Ham frustrated
West Ham are growing increasingly frustrated with the delay of Declan Rice’s move to Arsenal and fear they could miss out on key transfer targets as a result, reports SunSport’s Jordan Davies.
The Hammers accepted a record-breaking £105million bid and Rice is believed to have agreed personal terms and passed his medical, but the deal is yet to be signed off with Gunners lawyers still working on the player’s contract.
SunSport understands the West Ham hierarchy is tired of the drawn-out process, and have been left with a bitter taste over Arsenal’s actions throughout the negotiations.
Rice is currently training alone in Portugal as he awaits the conclusion of the switch.
Meanwhile, West Ham are yet to act in the transfer market themselves, awaiting Rice’s departure to be concluded before splashing any cash on replacements.
They are likely to miss out on Leicester’s Harvey Barnes with Newcastle set to land the £40m winger, while they fear being priced out of a move for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha.
