Welcome to Burnley vs Arsenal
Burnley take on Arsenal at Turf Moor this afternoon with the visitors arriving in fine form after scoring six goals to destroy West Ham last weekend.
Loan-signing Maxime Esteve made his debut against Liverpool at Anfield but had to come off in the 80th minute but should be fit enough to start again today.
Nathan Redmond, Luca Koleosho and Lyle Foster are all long-term absentees for The Clarets with the latter having undergone surgery on a chronic injury.
Jordan Beyer is still struggling with a thigh injury but Charlie Taylor’s shoulder issue should be healed in time for him to be considered for this game.
Hannes Delcroix should continue at left-back if need be after making a return from injury himself against Liverpool last time out.
It is touch and go whether Oleksandr Zinchenko will be fit for today’s trip but Arsenal will be hoping that Takehiro Tomiyasu will have recovered from a slight niggle that he was suffering with on his return from the Asian Cup.
Gabriel Jesus and Emile Smith Rowe are both touch and go for Mikel Arteta, while Jorginho should be fit after missing out at the London Stadium after a knock he had picked up.
Jurrien Timber, Thomas Partey and Fabio Viera are all out for some time for The Gunners although the latter is targeting a return for next week’s Champions League tie with FC Porto.
