Labour Day weekend won’t be a weekend off for construction workers on Quebec’s highways, with more disruptions planned:

The Mercier Bridge will have its downstream span closed between 10 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Tuesday, with traffic sharing the other span with one lane in each direction.
Meanwhile, the ramps at the St-Pierre interchange from Route 138 eastbound (coming from the bridge) will be closed — all day (1 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday) for the ramp toward Highway 20 west and overnights (1 a.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday, and 11 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday) for the ramp to Highway 20 east. When both ramps are closed, Route 138 will be closed as of Clément St., and when one ramp is closed, only one lane will be available on that stretch of highway. The entrance from Clément St. to Route 138 eastbound will be closed all weekend.

“The minister recommends that motorists who will have to travel in the sector allow more time to get to their destination, in particular to the airport (in Dorval). Congestion is to be expected,” the government organization wrote in a release.
Highway 13 (Laval)
Work continues on the northbound span of the highway, but this weekend only between Exit 12 (Samson Blvd.) and Notre-Dame Blvd. The highway will be completely closed from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday and again from 11 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday. In between those times, only one lane will be available. A detour route will be marked.
Highway 50 (Mirabel)
Work on culverts under Highway 50 will require closing the highway between Highway 15 and Mirabel Airport starting Thursday. During the night, the highway will be completely closed when needed, with traffic invited to detour via Route 158 further north and St-Simon Rd. During the day, the highway will be partially closed, with the left lane serving highway traffic and the right lane serving the exits, between Highway 15 and St-Simon Rd.
Other closures may be announced in the coming days.
