Of the 384 candidates contesting for 28 meeting seats in Karnataka`s Bengaluru area, 92 have declared legal instances in opposition to themselves with 57 of them (instances) with critical expenses, in line with a brand new report.
As per the Karnataka Election Watch, Bengaluru Election Watch and Affiliation for Democratic Reforms (ADR), which analysed the self-sworn affidavits of 384 out of 389 candidates, who’re contesting within the 28 constituencies of Bengaluru area within the Karnataka Meeting elections, 92 candidates, which is 24 per cent of the full candidates analysed have declared legal instances in opposition to themselves.
The report additionally acknowledged that there are 57 candidates, which is 15 per cent of the 384 candidates, with critical legal instances in opposition to themselves. The report acknowledged that among the many main events,14 (50 per cent) out of 28 candidates analysed from BJP, 19 (70 per cent) out of 27 candidates analysed from Congress, 9 (38 per cent) out of 24 candidates analysed from JD-S and 9 (32 per cent) out of 28 candidates analysed from AAP have declared legal instances in opposition to themselves of their affidavits.
In the meantime, BJP`s 9 candidates, which is 32 per cent of the 28 candidates analysed, have critical legal instances. Congress` 10 candidates, which is 37 per cent out of 27 candidates analysed, 8 (33 per cent) out of 24 candidates analysed from JD(S) and one (4 per cent) out of 28 candidates analysed from AAP have declared critical legal instances in opposition to themselves of their affidavits.
The report identified that 5 candidates have declared instances associated to crimes in opposition to ladies, whereas 4 candidates have declared instances associated to homicide (IPC Part-302) in opposition to themselves. Within the Karnataka Meeting polls for 32 Bengaluru meeting seats, 9 candidates have declared instances associated to aim to homicide (IPC Part-307) in opposition to themselves.
Polling for the 224-member Karnataka Meeting will happen on Could 10 and counting of votes will happen on Could 13.
