ALBANY, Ore. — Seven folks have been killed and a number of others damage in a crash involving a number of autos Thursday on Interstate 5 in an agricultural space of western Oregon, police stated.
Officers responded at about 2:05 p.m. to the crash involving two semi vans and a passenger automobile within the northbound lanes about 7 miles (11 kilometers) north of Albany, close to the Santiam relaxation space, Oregon State Police stated in a press release.
Seven adults died, police stated, however they didn’t specify what number of have been injured.
The passenger automobile concerned was a van, the Albany Democrat-Herald reported.

Police and fireplace officers put a blue tarp on the wrecked van and positioned a barrier close to one of many vans to dam the view of the scene, in accordance with the Democrat-Herald.
The van appeared to have been crushed between the vans, a witness advised the Statesman Journal.
“Judging by the harm, it seemed just like the van was sandwiched,” Adrian Gonzalez stated. “It received hit very arduous.”
Two Life Flight helicopters landed and took folks away whereas paramedics handled others on the bottom, Gonzalez advised the paper.
The reason for the crash was underneath investigation.
The northbound lanes of I-5 have been closed and visitors was being detoured, state transportation officers stated.
Albany lies between Salem and Eugene and is about 70 miles (113 kilometers) south of Portland. I-5 is the principle north-south interstate freeway on the West Coast.
